My Story

Hi there, I’m Gruner—a happy, playful guy who’s just as good at snuggling as I am at romping in the yard with my best buddy, Baxter. I’ve recently moved into a foster home with two other Great Pyrenees, and I’m doing fantastic! Having a doggy friend to run and play with makes me so happy, and I’d really love a forever home with another dog around my age to be my companion. A fenced yard is a must—I need space to stretch my legs and play chase, and when I get that, I’m calm, content, and sleep like a rock.

I’m housetrained (always!), polite, and know my commands like sit, down, and come. I’m food-motivated, which makes learning new things fun and easy. I’m friendly with people of all ages—even kids—and I love following my humans from room to room just to be near them. My favorite things? Walks, car rides, and stretching out with my paws up for a good nap.

I have such a big heart and love being part of the family. Give me a buddy to play with, a safe yard to explore, and humans to love, and I’ll be the happiest dog you’ve ever met.

Could I be your loyal sidekick and your other dog’s new best friend? 🐾

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
