Did I hear you say you’re looking for a 1-year-old, 91 lb. male Pyr to steal your heart? Here I am! My family calls me George and I know they love me because they asked GPRA to find me the perfect match for a new home. After saving me from a shelter four months ago, we’ve learned I’m a regal old soul who walks well on a leash, loves brushings, car rides, and the canine ladies. I’m not so fond of other male dogs and the younger kids I live with now make me a little nervous. I also need time to warm up to strangers and sometimes I’m a bit protective of those glorious table scraps. No need to spend money on dog toys, I’d rather hang out with my people than make plastic things squeak. Want to hang out, see if I’m the George you’ve been searching for? Yeah? Great! Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
