If you believe in miracles, I’m your 2-year-old miracle girl. I went from being a great working dog to possibly losing one eye and my hearing all in one day. If I tell you what horrific event caused my pain and fear, I’d ruin your lovely images of holiday lights and packages and sparkling things so let’s just say this: it’s never happened to a GPRA rescue and I hope it never will. My family’s quick actions probably saved my eye, but they wisely thought I might not be safe working the property deaf in one ear and with limited or no vision. Thankfully they cared enough to call GPRA so now I need someone who cares enough to please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below for a heart-to-heart with the adoption team. And my foster promises to share more as we spend our days getting to know each other.

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
