Duffy
Hellos! I am the one and only Duffy. My family had to surrender their loving, easy-going, and super laid-back family dog, which is sad. However, I am hopeful as GPRA promises that there is another family out there just for me.
My previous family told GPRA I am a big baby. (Yep, I am a loveable guy!) I am also great with other dogs, cats, and strangers. Since I was shot in my front leg when I was only two-years-old, I hope my fur-ever family will understand that loud noises can scare me a bit. This just means that you may find me hiding in a closet during fireworks and stormy nights. Loud noises remind me of the day I was shot, so your understanding and kindness will ease my worries. Better yet, if you join me in the closet or a safe hiding space, I will be just fine.
One of my favorite things to do is to go for family car rides. Do you think we can stop for a Pyr-yummy Puppuccino? Well, maybe not, because I may need to shed a couple pounds!

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
