Doggie
I am SO HAPPY, finally. Hey, I’m Doggie, an eight month old, 60 lb. boy who is thrilled GPRA set me free. My first family crated me, a puppy, 18+ hours a day so I wouldn’t do puppy stuff. Uh, duh, that’s what makes me so fun! Now I have an awesome foster family, with a dog and a back yard, and they all laugh when I run, play, bounce, wrestle, bark, spill my water, and sleep in silly positions. Yeah, I chew stuff now and then and yeah, I’m learning not to play-nip or jump or dig or guard my food, but wow, this is living! Now all I need is a forever family who will love me and train me so I can be with them, and home alone, instead of in a wire box all the time. Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
