Diego
Hellos. I am Diego, and who might you be? I am one of the dogs that GPRA rescued from a hoarding and neglect case in Virginia. Based on where I came from, you will understand that I am still frightened and uncertain of my surroundings.
GPRA’s walkers describe me as a charming and gentle boy. Every time I am out for a walk with these Pyr-fabulous volunteers, I will immediately stop and intently listen to any sounds of children playing in the distance. I’m thinking that I will surely love joining a family with children who will play with me. 🐾♥️🐾
You may also know that I am somewhat famous in the local community due to escaping from my kennel. (I dis-a-pyred! Ok, I know it was not funny for the humans who were very worried about me, and I am sorry.) Yep, I am Pyr smart and an escape artist – so I have been told. Thankfully, many dog-loving humans were involved in my safe return. (Thank you!)

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
