My Story
Hi, I’m Cotton! My story started out a little scary—I was hit by a car, but thanks to some amazing volunteers and my rescue group, I got the help I needed. I had surgery on my front leg and a shiny bone plate put in to help me heal. At first, I was so tired and sore that I could barely move, but with time, love, and care, I’ve bounced back stronger than ever!
Now I’m walking on my own, feeling great, and enjoying every new day. I’m a gentle, sweet girl who loves spending time with my foster pyr sister and the puppies in my foster home—we all get along wonderfully. I’ve learned what it means to be safe, loved, and cared for, and I’m ready to share that same love with my forever family.

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
