Hi, there. I’m Cooper, and it’s good to meet you. My foster mama says I’m such a sweet boy, but I’m timid too. I need a gentle touch because the world is a new and scary place, and like all pyrs, I need a lot of love to feel safe. A calm home would be best for me too as I get used to everything, but I do adore kids as long as they know not to chase me or play rough. I like other dogs too, but I’m still getting used to playing with them. Around cats, I do a lot of tail-wagging and sniffing; they’re sweet little creatures! Livestock animals are not really my thing, though. Foster Mommy says I could really benefit from another dog companion to show me how to be a house dog. I’m also learning how to walk on the leash, and Foster Mom tells me I’m doing great! If you’re looking for an ultra-sweet and sensitive baby boy, then I’m your pyr. Please take me home and help me get used to the good life!

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
