Hi, I’m Charley, a 3 year-old boy weighing in around 95 lbs. I’m from at least three different states and as it turns out, not well suited to my family’s military life. I’m proud of them, and they love me very much, but the recent moves and changes upset me. And they are moving again this month. So, GPRA agreed to help me find a new home. Here are some of my winning personality traits for you to fall in love with: I potty outside and can be home alone for almost eight hours; I am great with kids; I am a STAR Puppy and Canine Good Citizen Training graduate; and I like other dogs as long as I’m free to play with them instead of attached to my leash. In fact, I hope you will help me learn to like my leash again, be less responsive to what I see through the windows, and calmer when new people come into our home. Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
