My Story
Hi there! I’m Cecelia, but you can call me CC.
I’m a laid-back gal in my golden years, and if you’re looking for a calm, quiet companion who just wants to be near you (without being underfoot), we might be a perfect match. I’m not the type to demand attention or crowd your space—I’m more of a peaceful presence. You’ll usually find me curled up nearby, quietly napping while you go about your day. I don’t need much, just a soft spot on the floor and a bit of your company.
My energy level is pretty low these days, though I do enjoy leisurely walks—twice a day if it’s not too hot or hilly. I might move slowly on the way home, but I always try to keep up! I’m also house-trained and well-mannered indoors. I’ve never needed a crate and have been completely trustworthy when left alone. I don’t chew things I shouldn’t, though I do have a soft spot for rawhide bones, and I’m known to sneak a treat off the counter if given the chance (hey, I may be mellow, but I still have a little spunk!).
I get along great with cats and have peacefully coexisted with other dogs, even one with a big personality. I’m not bossy and don’t mind letting others take the lead. Loud trucks can startle me, so I appreciate a calm walking partner who can keep me close when one passes. Indoors, I’m mostly quiet—unless I hear a doorbell or a neighbor. Even then, I settle down quickly with a gentle redirection.
What really makes me special? Well, everyone says my coat is mesmerizing. It changes colors depending on how you pet me—white one way, silvery gray the other. Some say I look like a marble floor, and I don’t shed much at all. I love long, gentle rubdowns, and I’ll stretch out to let you brush and scratch me for as long as you like. It’s our own little form of therapy.
My ideal forever home? Somewhere peaceful with kind humans who appreciate a quiet dog with a big heart. I don’t need a lot of space—just somewhere I can relax, feel safe, and enjoy my days near the people I love. I do best in a flat home to help with my comfort, and I’d thrive with someone who understands that my love is shown in stillness, not in play.
If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle soul to share your home—and your quiet moments—I’d love to meet you. 💕
With love,
CC 🐾
Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
