Hi, there! I am Pyr Brida (Bree-duh). Thanks to my foster family, I’m ready to be adopted and loved fur-ever! Here is what they know about me.
“Brida is extremely lovable with her humans and great with other dogs. Her favorite thing is to rest her head on her humans. If you hold her head in your hands, she will be the happiest Pyr in the world.” (The human love thing is the best, and I cannot get enough.)
“Brida is a champion leash walker.” (Aww. thank you. I try to be a good girl and please my humans.)
“Drum roll, please… Brida is officially house-trained! 🎉🎉  Next, we are working on basic commands with Brida, such as “sit,” “stay,” and “wait.” (I am one grateful Pyr. My foster family is investing a lot of time to get me ready for my fur-ever family.)
“Brida loves to play but can also be super chill.” (Yep, Pyrs like to have fun but can also zen out.)
“Our only caution to her future family is that Brida will look for an opportunity to escape through an open door. So, her future family will need to be extra careful to ensure she does not get out.” (Yep, this is my work in progress. Lucky for me, my humans are doing everything possible to keep me safe. In time, I will learn that my home is the only place I want to be.)
Your Pyr-fun girl, Brida

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
