Just like the real Bert and Ernie, we’re the best of friends, but we’re both ready to go to our own homes. Hi, I’m Bert, and my foster mama tells me I’m the alpha with lots of personality. Hello, there! I’m Ernie, and Foster Mom tells me I’m a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly. We’re both very sweet, friendly, good with people, and good with other dogs. As we’re young pups, we’ll need lots of love and patience. Us young pyr boys are still learning how to be housetrained, leash-trained, and basic-command trained. The most important thing with puppy training is to use positive reinforcement only, please, which means treats and praise! And, the most, most important thing is that you take us home today and start giving us all the love you can. We’ll give you all the pyr puppy snuggles in return and entertain you with some yard-time zoomies!

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
