Bear G – what a great dog is all my foster mom can say about me! I am a healthy 100 lb, 9 year old that the vets and everyone else says, “No way he is that old!” I have the energy and health of a 5 year old. Everything about me is good (no modesty here).  I LOVE car rides, but I don’t try to drive for you. Walks are easy peasy (I learned to sit to get my walking harness on  right away). I already know sit, down and come. Other dogs are my friends, and if they bark/growl at me, I just ignore them. I like playing with my foster sister and my humans (yes, I got them to run around with me in the yard as I am such a likeable boy). I wait nicely for my food, eat it all and could care less if you want my food bowl while I am eating. Treats are really nice, and I sit for them if that is what you want me to do. I am a super affectionate boy, and when my foster mom and her friend were combing something called under coat and mats out, I was a trooper. Sleeping on the couch in my foster parent’s bedroom is my favorite place – I take one step and I am up and comfy. If you need someone to love and care for who will be your loving and best friend, I am your man!

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
