Please read my story. I’m so sweet and snuggly but I have to be honest about why I need you. Easy stuff first: I’m a year old, weigh 80 lbs., am house & leash trained, and love being pet everywhere. It’s even OK to grab my collar after I get to know you. And that’s why I need patience and understanding: it takes time for me to trust people. It’s wonderful my current family does so much for their neighbors and community but all the activity and noise and strangers, well, it makes me anxious. The low fence makes it easy for me to escape the stress, but leaving the yard is dangerous and scares my family. Have you ever nurtured a dog like me who needs patience and security and calm company? Can you be inside with me, or take me outside with you? I’m not much of an alone dog, at least not now. Who knows what I’ll become with the right human, or family? Well, hopefully I chose enough of the right words to show you my heart and you’ll please email info@greatpyratlanta.com, click “Contact Us” or choose “Apply to Adopt” below to talk about sharing yours with me.

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
