I Googled “famous Aubreys” and guess what? I’m the ONLY Pyr! The list is all people. Which means this 2-year-old, 49 lb. is a one-of-a-kind, potential superstar, assuming the right person or family adopts me. I say that because I’m a stray and I just don’t know enough about myself to help GPRA find my perfect match. Which means, I’m probably best suited for an experienced dog owner who will patiently get to know me as they teach me the house rules. The Carrol County shelter people said I’m good with people and other dogs so let’s start there. Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
