Our Story
Hi, Everyone! We’re Aria and Elda, and we’re a bonded pair which means we can’t live without each other. When we play in the yard together, you’ll see that we are best friends for life. Aria, here! My name means “lioness,” and that name makes sense because I’m the fluffy one. Elda, here! My name means wise, and I’ve got those old soul eyes to match my name. The good news is us two pyr girlies are very sweet and loving. We love to get pets from our beloved humans! Foster Mama says that we’re also good listeners; we’re currently learning “sit.” One of our best qualities, however, is that we come when called. Also, Foster Mom tells us we’re well-mannered because we don’t have any potty accidents. Another way we’re very polite is that we are well-behaved when left home alone. Us pyr ladies are always happy to be with our humans, though, so we like to be wherever you are. Our foster family says we’re super affectionate, and Elda will even give you a kiss to prove it! We’ll go with you to get some coffee too because we ride well in the car. Or, we can just take a stroll in the neighborhood since we’re so good on the leash as well. Everyone knows the only thing better than one pyr to snuggle is two, and we can’t wait to come home with you today!

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
