Apollo H

Great Pyrenees

The original Apollo was a Greek god of medicine, prophecy, and wisdom. That’s a pretty high bar for a 5-year-old, X lb. boy who didn’t go to medical school and can’t predict the future. However, I am very wise because I chose GPRA to help me find my love-you-forever family. My foster mom says I’m great with her female dogs (duh, I’m a Greek god!), very affectionate (again, Greek god), and great with her cats and young son. Some of you may remember me by my first, and much less romantic, GPRA name: Fred. Yep, I’m the same low energy, big lug, who graced this page last year, loves car rides, and really needs help losing weight. I like my Greek god persona better but what I’d like even more is finding my one-and-only family. Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
