Annabelle Bloom
Hi, I’m Annabelle, and I’m so pleased to meet you! I think I was named after the butterfly whose scientific name is vanessa annabella because we are both big and beautiful! The Annabella butterfly has only a few spots of white, but I’m white and fluffy all over. Annabella butterflies also like to sunbathe, and I like to walk around in the sun too. My GPRA walkers say I’m excellent on the leash! Walking is easy, but Annabella butterflies trek to the Rocky Mountains twice a year. I’ve made a few journeys in my life, and I’m still getting used to the car! After a pleasant walk around the flowers, I’m ready for all the pets and cuddles you can give me. I’ve heard butterflies flap their wings five times per second, and if you want to pet me five times per second, I’d be one happy pyr! Another thing that makes me happy is other dogs. Butterflies can fly as fast as 30 mph and that’s how fast I run to my fellow doggy friends! I love them! I love humans too, but I take a bit to warm up. Once I do, though, I’m as sweet as the flower nectar those Annabella butterflies love to eat! If you’re looking for a gentle and loving pyr, then I’m your girl!
Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
