Greetings, my PYR friends! I’m Princess Jaquita, and my name rhymes with vaquita which means small cow in Spanish. While I’m not a cow, I am a pocket pyr! There’s a special type of dolphin named the vaquita, and it is petite and cute like me. It even has dark rings around its eyes too! The vaquita dolphin will swim away if a boat comes near, and I need time to get to know people as well. Once I trust you, though, I love getting kisses and belly rubs! I also love being with my fellow doggies. Dolphins always live in groups, and I’ve lived with another dog my whole life. A very important part of a dolphin family is the children, and I couldn’t agree more! Kids are special to me too. While dolphins use echolocation to get from one place to another, I have to use a leash or ride in a car. Luckily, my GPRA transporter said I’m easy on the leash and great in the car. If you’re looking for a smaller pyr with a lot of love to give, I’m ready to come home with you and join your pod (that’s dolphin for family)!

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
