Miss Sebastion to make your acquaintance! How do you do? Sebastion means revered, but I’m not a dignified pyr lady yet. I’m still a young pyr girl with energy to match! One thing I do revere, however, is my humans. I love them so much, and I want all the attention they can give me. Sometimes, I even jump up to give hugs in all the excitement! I know that I can be taught some reverence, though, once I get settled into a home and start learning some basic commands and leash-training. Already, I know how to ask for more cuddles by giving pyr paw! My GPRA friends say that I am constantly looking to my humans for direction, so I’m a trainable girl. I’m playful too, so I think I would have fun being with other dogs and an active family. We can go places like the park because I love to jump into the car and go for a ride. Pretty pyr-please consider adopting me and helping me grow into the revered pyr lady I’m meant to be!

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.

My Story

Pyr, Ahoy! I’m Captain, and I’m ready to steer my ship to my new home! While a sailor lives at sea, I like to reside at a house. I’m very considerate of my abode too because I’m housetrained, and I can be left alone and be a good boy. My GPRA transporter said my nickname should be Captain Sweetness because I’ve got such a loving personality. I love to get pets, and snuggling is one of my best skills! I was even a good and calm boy at the vet. I didn’t shiver me timbers once! I’m also great on the leash which is wonderful because I am landlubber and love to take walks. People are my favorite, so I’m friendly to everyone I meet. Sometimes, I will bark at dogs bigger than me, but I’m easily redirected. I look to my human as my captain and take direction and praise very well. So far, I’ve learned “sit” and “come.” Little dogs and even small animals don’t bother me at all, though. In my home, however, I think I’d like to be the only doggo because then I can be your best mate! Also, when my GPRA friends brushed me, I didn’t mind in the slightest. If my fur is going to flow in the sea breeze, it’s gotta be tangle-free! With me, everything is smooth-sailing as long as I am getting affection and reassurance. All I want is to love and to be loved! Please consider adopting me today. I can’t wait to join your crew!
