My Story

Hey there, I’m Blanco, and I’m currently crashing at the vet’s clinic while I wait for something really special… my very own foster or forever home!

I’m a handsome pup with a big heart, and I’ve got lots of love to give. I’m told I’m quite the gentleman on a leash (yep, I walk nicely!) and I don’t get spooked by cars or loud noises — city life? No problem!

I may bark a bit when I see other dogs through the kennel, but hey, it’s a loud place and I’ve got opinions! Out in the parking lot, I’m more of a curious onlooker — I just gaze and take it all in. I get along well with people, whether it’s new friends or the kind clinic staff. I soak up attention like a sponge, and I love when someone takes a moment just for me.

Here’s a quirky fact about me: I like to “hockey puck” my food and water dishes around! It’s part of my charm, but I could really use some heavy-duty bowls in my next home. Also, I’ve got some food preferences — I eat best when my food is on the floor (hey, who made up the bowl rule anyway?).

The good news? I’m housebroken, not food aggressive, and love getting petted. I haven’t had to take any meds yet, but I’m a chill guy and easy to handle, so I think I’d do just fine.

If you’re looking for a sweet, curious, slightly goofy dog with lots of potential and a big heart, I could be your guy. I’d love a soft bed, some humans to love, and maybe a yard where I can explore a bit (and practice my bowl-sliding skills).

Are you the one I’ve been waiting for? Come meet me — let’s see if we’re a match!

Love,
Blanco 🐶💙

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
