My Story

Hi there, I’m Bo Peep! 🐾

If you’re looking for a gentle soul who’s just waiting for the right person to help her blossom, I might be your girl. Life has been a bit bumpy lately — I’ve been through a lot over the past few months, and right now I’m in boarding, which is really scary and stressful for me. I’m doing my best, but the kennel life just isn’t for me. Once I’m out and on a walk with one of my dog walker friends, I settle down and do just fine. I walk nicely on leash and enjoy the fresh air and freedom!

What I really need is a calm, loving foster or forever home where I can finally exhale and feel safe again.

I’m a medium-energy gal who’s easy to walk and enjoys being outside. I’ve got good manners on leash and respond well to basic commands like sit, stay, come, off, and down.

I get along wonderfully with other dogs, and I think having a doggy sibling might actually help me feel more secure. Kids? I like them too! I’ve lived with children before and do well with them, although I can get a little protective over my favorite toy or bone. A little space and understanding go a long way with me.

Right now, I’m pretty jumpy and unsure — I’ll be honest, I’m afraid of a lot of things. But that just means I need a patient, kind human who can help me build my confidence. I’m okay being alone in the house, and I don’t need to be on the furniture — a cozy bed nearby is just fine for me.

I know the world can be big and overwhelming, but with someone like you by my side, I believe I could find my way back to peace and joy. I’ve got a good heart — I just need someone to help it heal.

With love and hope,
Bo Peep 🐶💕

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
