My Story

Hey there! My name’s Diego, and I may only be a few months old, but I’ve already got a pretty incredible story. Life started out rough – I was thrown from a moving car and ended up at an animal shelter. But that’s where everything changed! GPRA swooped in to save me, and I’ve been learning all about love and trust ever since.

I’m a happy little guy with lots of energy and a big heart. I love to play, explore, and zoom around – I’m what you might call a high-energy go-getter. Toys are my jam, and I’ll happily swap one for another if you offer me something even better. I’m also super food motivated, which makes training fun – I’m just starting to learn cool things like “sit,” “leave it,” and “let’s go!”

I’m still figuring out some stuff like walking on a leash and house training, but I’m already making progress.

I’m in my teething stage (so yes, I love to chew – thank goodness for toys!), and I’ve been polite around other people, even when they pet me or check my ears and paws. I don’t bark much, I’m cool with car rides, and I’m getting used to a daily routine.

Even after everything I’ve been through, I wake up every day wagging my tail, excited about what’s next. The best thing about me is how happy I am despite my tough beginning. I believe every day is a chance to love and be loved.

So if you’re looking for a sweet, silly, determined little pup to grow up with, I just might be your guy. Let’s start our next chapter together. 🐶❤️

– Love, Diego

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
