My Story

Hi there! My name is Mr. Pickles… although these days my foster mom and dad call me Pippin 💙🐾

And between us? I think it suits me.

When they first started calling me Pippin, I wasn’t so sure… but now I respond right away and everyone says I’ve really taken to it. My foster family swears I’m walking a little taller and carrying myself with a bit more pride these days — and honestly, I think they might be right.

Life in my foster home has been pretty wonderful. I’ve settled in beautifully and have been learning all about what it means to be a family dog. I’m surrounded by love, structure, adventures, and lots of encouragement, and I’ve been soaking it all up.

I’ve become quite the little celebrity around Morningside–Lenox Park! I’m friendly and well-mannered with adults, kids, cats, and other dogs wherever I go — at the park, the vet, on neighborhood walks, and even at the local farmers’ market. I love meeting new friends and I’m curious about the world without being pushy. My foster family says I have an easygoing personality and sweet beta energy… even around the tiniest dogs.

I’ve also been putting in the work and learning lots of good-boy skills. Training has been going really well and I now know sit, down, come, and place (pretty impressive, right?). I’m still working on puppy things every day and getting better all the time.

What I’m really looking for now is a forever family to call my own — people who will keep helping me grow, include me in their adventures, and remind me every day that I’m home.

Until then, I’ll be over here answering to Pippin, making friends, and practicing my good manners. 💙

Love,
Mr. Pickles (aka Pippin)

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
