Hello! I’m Daphne, a beautiful 9-year-old, 72 lb. GPRA alumna looking for my retirement home. I adore my human family, they adore me, my canine sister is a different story. Things have gotten contentious (I have quite the vocabulary!) between us recently and my mom wants me safe. Every once in a while, I react to other dogs coming toward me when I’m on my leash. Still, I grew up in a three-dog family, so this new behavior is a little surprising. Maybe I’m just ready to be an only fur child and live my senior years as the center of attention? I’m great with kids, love big people as well, can be home alone for up to 10 hours, enjoy walks, and try to play with cats. Thanks to the raw diet I’ve enjoyed the last five years, I’m svelte and healthy. Oh, and I’d like to keep my name, if that’s alright, I’m pretty attached to it plus it works, I come when called. Are you ready to call GPRA about me? Or maybe just email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below.

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.

Hi there, My name is Buddy and I am a returning GPRA alumni.  Unfortunately one of my 2 legged siblings became very allergic to me and there was not a way to keep us separated. While I am an older gent at the age of 9,  I am very easy going, good with other dogs and kids and of course completely house trained.  I am searching for my furever home where I can enjoy my golden years just being a companion for you.  To learn more about me or interested in adding me to your family, complete the adoption application online and lets start this journey together.

Hi! I’m Suno. GPRA thinks I am about 9 but don’t let that fool you, I have plenty of pep in my step! I love playing with other dogs and going for long walks. Since I’m a mature gal I have all of my house manners down. I am potty trained, take treats gently after showing you my tricks, and don’t even try to get on the furniture. My foster home has two small children and other fur babies and I am wonderful with them. I am looking for a forever family to share the best years of my life with. Since I do have skin allergies there is a pill I need every day but I take it no problem, I am a happy girl! If you are looking for a TURN KEY dog then I am the one for you.  Contract GPRA today for more information at info@greatpyratlanta.com
