Hello, my pyr mates! I’m Max Millin, and I’m mighty pleased to meet you! I take being a good boy to the max because I’m housetrained AND I come when called. To say, “Potty-time!”, I stand by the back door. When you need me, I give you my maximum attention. If you say, “Max, sit,” I do it! I also know the commands: come, off, and down. I do need a six-foot fence, though, because I can jump a shorter one. Sometimes, I dig under the fence too, but we can work on that behavior together. I have other maximal qualities as well. Foster Mama is mega happy to report that I ride well in the car and walk well on the leash. Those are major because anywhere we go, I’ll be the most behaved doggo! I’ve even seen some kitty-cat mates, and I find them interesting in a friendly way. I also get along great with other dogs. Once I get to know my doggy friends, I like to lay by them and play in the backyard. Foster Mom has been telling my GPRA peeps that I’m such a sweet pyr in a myriad of ways. Let’s meet and see if we have a magnetic connection!

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.

Hi, Everybody! There is a Winter Olympic speed skater named Apolo Ono whose name is almost like mine. I may not be as swift as an ice-skating olympian, but I walk at a leisurely pace that suits me just fine. My laid back stroll is a reflection of my personality; I’ve been described as calm, gentle, and sweet. I’m even good on the leash! While you won’t catch me on the ice-skating rink, I ride well in the car. Gold medals are fine, but I love pets and affection! I could win the medal for most -liked because dogs, cats, and chickens are my friends. Honestly, though, the most rewarding place to be is with my family. When I’m cozy at home, I love snuggling with the kiddos and hanging out with female dogs. This pyr is a ladies’ pyr! Every ice skater needs to know how to train, and I’m no exception. I already know the commands: “sit” and “come,” and I’m house-trained to boot, a snow-boot that is. I’m a big and easy-going boy, and the only race I’ll be winning is the one to your heart!
