Hi, Everyone! I’m Chivero, and I’m charmed to meet you! My GPRA friends tell me that I’m a big champ like a lot of pyr boys, but I have a sweet personality to match. You might even say I’m as sweet as cherry pie. Just check out my cheeky smile in the first picture! When I’m in the backyard, I can’t wait to show off my cheery nature by romping around in the grass. Just make sure you have a six-foot fence, please, because I am an escape artist. Don’t worry, though; as long as I have a boundary, I will want to be where you are. My GPRA pals say that I’m human-centered as I like to be with my people as much as possible. When we sit together in the living room, I love to give kisses and get attention. If I want more attention, I’ll even give you pyr paw! Another cool thing about me is that I ride well in the chariot you guys call a car. As long as I’m with my family, I’m like a little cherub in the backseat. We can travel on foot too because I’m chivalrous on the leash; that’s a fancy way of saying I’m great on the leash! My loving and affectionate nature means I am very cooperative with being groomed as well. Can I be your chosen pup? Consider adopting me today, and we can start a new chapter of our lives together!

Winter Greetings, my fellow chilly-air enthusiasts! All us pyrs just love this colder weather, and I’m no exception. Being outside and being walked are the best way to spend a crisp afternoon. I adore hanging out in the backyard with my pyr friends. Large and medium sized dogs are my go-to pals! While I am a queen, I’m very sweet and submissive with my doggy companions. With kitty-cats, I can either ignore or try to play with them. It depends on my mood. Chickens and ducks are not welcome in my snowy kingdom, however; I just want to chase them! Every queen has their crown, but if other people are wearing hats, I get really offended (and scared!). Like most of my majestic pyr comrades, I am fearful of storms and other loud noises. The most queenly thing about me, though, is how well I treat my human subjects. I’m very sweet, loving, and a good girl. When my loyal human says, “sit,” “come,” or “down,” I give my royal ear and listen. I am magnificent with kids too! Before I took up residence in my foster family’s palace, I used to live mostly outside, so I’ll need time to get used to being housetrained and potty-trained. Lady Foster Mama says I’m already doing great, though! Take me home, and I’ll be the Queen of Your Heart!

Hi, Pyr Pals! I’m Asher! I’m a sweet boy who was just rescued. I want lots of love! All during my freedom ride, I insisted on having ear and head rubs. I LOVE ear rubs! I’m also adept at what you all call Pyr Paw. It’s my version of a high-five that means: more attention, please! All I need is the right person to take me home, and I’ll mesmerize you with my beautiful eyes. They’re like looking into two amber pools of light. I’m also very calm and patient, and I take treats gently too. The GPRA volunteers said I was also a good boy as they brushed me. My warm-hearted personality is reflected in my leash-walking too. My GPRA walker friends say I’m very good on the leash. I enjoy roaming around the play yard as well, so I know a backyard will be fun for me. If you’re looking for a kind, handsome boy, then I’m the one for you!

Shasta, coming at ya! My name means to be praised or commended, and since I am house-trained and potty-trained, I think it fits! When it’s potty-time, I’ll sit by the door to ask to go out. I look to my people for direction, and I’ve been told I’m obedient; I even know how to shake. I also know “sit,” “come,” and “off.” See how smart I am? My foster mom says I can be left alone without any problems too. My foster parents’ favorite quality to compliment me on is how good I am with children and how friendly I am with people. Thank you, foster parents! With kids, I enjoy playing with them and having them throw my toys and a ball for me to chase. Shasta (that’s me) also is the name of a mountain in California. Mountains are hard to the touch, but I’m soft and cuddly. I love to lay my head in your lap! While mountains stand still, I like to be walked and have fun running in the backyard. Foster Mom says that I still have puppy energy! On a walk, I can sometimes pull towards other dogs, so I need to work on redirecting my attention back on you when that happens. In and out of the home, I prefer dogs around my own size, so no small dogs or cats, please! Also, I know mountains don’t talk, but I love to speak, or bark, as you humans call it. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate girl to become a part of your family, I am here and ready to come home!
