Hi, y’all! I’m Elle Mae, and I’m just a sweet Southern girl looking for her forever home. If I had my druthers, I’d be inside all the time. I love to snuggle ’til the cows come home! But, if y’all need to go somewhere over yonder, my foster mama reckons I ride real well in the car. I’m as pretty as a peach anywhere you take me because I’m so darn well behaved! And, when we’re on a stroll, you’ll never have to tell me to hold my horses. I’m plumb wonderful on the leash! Give me a holler if you’re looking for a friendly gal who loves her people, and I’ll come on home with you!

Hey there. I am Thibodeaux. Yeah, my previous owners named me after an Oregon Ducks player, so let’s keep it simple. You can call me Tibby.
I am still a young Pyr learning good manners and need patience, time, and ongoing training to become “Tibby the very best Great Pyrenees.”
Thanks to my Pyr-loving foster family, I am working on a few obedience issues and being taught how to “lay down” on command. Upon learning that I will receive treats if I listen to my foster mom’s command, I will put my paw on her hand to ensure that the treat is mine while also responding to the “lay down” command. I’m a good Tibby, right?
Here are a few other things my foster family has learned about me.
“Tibby is a cuddler, smart, sweet, a kisser, a nose bumper, a pleaser, loyal, and full of life and smiles.” (Aww… thank you! If you love me, I will smile at you all day long!)
“Tibby is a big love and loves to lean into his people. He loves hugs and will occasionally jump up gently to give hugs.” (I love my humans!)
“We will continue to work on desensitizing Tibby to whatever noises cause him to bark.” (Did you know it is immensely beneficial to Pyrs when their humans help us determine which noises do not need barking because all is okay and which noises are bark-worthy. So when my foster mom tells me, “enough bark,” I will just moan. She thinks I’m pretty funny!)
“Tibby is a GREAT guard dog and will definitely alert you to anything. (See, I know some things need my watchful eyes, ears, and barks!)
“Tibby is very active. He will run if you run, walk if you walk, and walk all day with you!” (Yes, I love being with my humans.)
“Tibby should not be crated as he hates crates.” (Yes, please never put me in a crate.)
So, that is a bit about me. My foster family cannot wait to tell you more about me, so come meet me soon!
Your smiley and still learning Pyr boy, Tibby

Hi, I am Historia! My life has been hard on me. However, I cannot thank GPRA enough for giving me and my pal, Kiba, a chance at a future loving home. GPRA’s walkers and trainer are still learning all about me, so I will have more to share with you soon. I am grateful for all of their teachings, too. Since my life has changed drastically so quickly, I am doing my best to be a quick study. Still, it takes a while to figure out the leash thing, proper manners, and basic commands. Since Great Pyrenees are smart dogs, I know I will figure it all out.
Here are some things GPRA’s team said about me.
“Historia is a full-on happy go-getter.” (Of course, I am! I am grateful that humans finally care about me. All I want is more, more, more…)
“Historia is a real sweetheart.” (The love I get from GPRA’s walking team is the stuff that I have never experienced before. I always knew I had a hidden sweetheart side.)
“Historia always rolls over for belly rubs.” (Can you blame me? It is my way of telling humans that I trust them to keep loving on me!”)
One more thing, it will be best if I am the only dog in the family. You see, I am still young and learning and need dedicated time, obedience training, consistency, and patience. Then, I’ll grow up with good manners and make you very proud.
If you are looking for a girl who will be grateful for opening your heart and home, then that girl is me.
Gratefully yours forever, Historia

I made it! I made it to GPRA! Pyrs everywhere say their humans are the best and now this 2-year-old, 84 lb. boy can find his own GPRA family. When the shelter staff kissed me goodbye, they whispered a lot of nice things in my ears, but they forgot to tell me riding in a car might shake up my stomach. Yeah, that was kinda’ embarrassing. I hope it won’t happen again but if I am one of those Pyrs prone to car sickness, I bet your vet has some medicine for me. Oh, wait, I almost forgot to tell you the nice things they did say! While we hugged, I heard them say I’m good with people, I get along with other dogs, and I’m very sweet. Do those words mean something to you? If so, please email info@greatpyratlanta.com, click “Contact Us” or choose “Apply to Adopt” below and when we meet, you can explain them to me!

Thankfully my name is beautiful now because it may take a little time for my gorgeous Pyr fur to grow past all the matts GPRA found on me. The vet says I’m 2-years-old and weigh 69 lbs. There’s also a rumor I’m good with other dogs and like people. Hey, I have an idea! Instead of trading in rumors, you could please email info@greatpyratlanta.com, click “Contact Us” or choose “Apply to Adopt” below and get the facts right from the source—me! I’d love to get to know you, and anyone else who lives with you, while I’m getting to know myself.

My smile says it all: I love to play so much, I once tried to get another dog to play with me but it turned out to be a dog statue, lol! At 2-years-old and 60 lbs., I’m ready to grow up and out, if you know what I mean. You can probably tell by my windblown coat I love to run and goof around, especially with people and other dogs. I heard a human describe my behavior as “puppy brain” and thought, “Well, duh, I’m just a big puppy!” Now that I think about it, maybe they mean I need a family to help me learn good dog manners and gentle ways to play. Do you know how to teach these things? More important, if you give training treats as rewards, please email info@greatpyratlanta.com, click “Contact Us” or choose “Apply to Adopt” below. I love treats so I bet we get along great.
