Hi, Everyone! The name’s Blizzard, and I’m swirling into GPRA just in time for colder weather! The chilly air makes me want to stay inside and eat lots of good food. I love to eat, so I am definitely food-motivated when it comes to learning commands. One thing I’ve already learned is hugging! I like to stand up like a big polar bear and put my arms on you to say, “I love you!” But, Foster Mama says because I’m so trainable, it will be easy to teach me the command: down. My foster parents also say I’m good on the leash. Cool, autumn winds are my favorite, so let’s go for a walk together! Maybe, you want to go get a pumpkin spice latte. Works for me because I’m a great car rider. Or, we can cuddle up inside, and I’ll sit right by you to give you extra warmth. My happy place is cozying up next to my foster family getting all the pets! I’ve got as much floof as a Yeti, so you can snuggle your hands into my fur instead of mittens. I’m soft and fluffy on the inside too! Foster Mommy says I’m a sweet, gentle, and laid-back boy. What more could you want? If you’re looking for a true pyr to watch the leaves change color with, I’m right here and ready to come home!

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
