How’s it hanging, dude? I’m Moose California, and I’m ready to live my best laid-back Cali life with the perfect family for me! I’m a young pyr boy, so I still have zoomies and get stoked about anything and everything. In my new home, I’d love a doggy friend to play with. I live with doggo siblings now, and together we’re as golden as the Golden State…that’s California’s nickname! California is famous for its near perfect weather, and I’m nearly perfect too! On a walk, I do sometimes bark at other dogs and can be a puller, but I’m a youthful pyr dude. With love and training, I know I can become a better leash walker in no time. While I like walking and living with another dog, what really makes me feel like I’m California dreamin’ is people! I adore my humans, and I show them how much I care by being super affectionate and cuddly. I may have breezed in from California, but now Georgia is on my mind because I’m here and searching for my forever home!

It’s a beautiful day to be a pyr mix! Hi, I’m Bella, and I’m charmed to meet you! I think you probably know that my name means beautiful. And, my golden and cream coat is quite stunning! Looks aside, I’m a young pyr girl looking for my forever home where I will get lots of attention. One of my most attractive qualities is that I am housetrained! That means I use the outdoors as my potty area like a true lady. And, after I do my business, I can sit pretty as a picture in the green grass! When the deer walk by my yard,  I don’t even react. To me, they’re just a part of the delightful landscape. I actually get along really well with other animals too. Other dogs are always easy on the eyes, so I consider all my canine brethren to be my friends. Kitty-cats are delightful too! While my fellow fuzzy creatures are as pretty as peaches, I just adore my human family. They’re irresistible! I love to hang out with people, and I’m good with kids too. Beauty is in the eye on the beholder, and when I look at you, I see the most beautiful thing a dog could hope for: a loving family ready to adopt me!

Hello, everyone! I’m Lady A, and it is absolutely awesome to meet you! I’m a young pyr lady who is looking to be adored and cared for by her new family. Foster Mama says I have an aptitude for sweetness, and my loving attitude is starting to shine through each day. I’ll admit that I’m quite shy which makes me a little awkward in social situations, but my foster family is helping me learn that most people and dogs are really amiable and friendly. Foster Mom also tells me that I have an abundance of potential. I really want to play with other dogs and be affectionate with other people, and I know it will just take time and practice. When I’m in the yard by myself, I am an ardent runner. Playing and zooming around the yard is so much fun! While I’m still learning how to walk on the leash, I am trying to copy how to my foster siblings do it, so I know I’ll be an amazing leash-walker one day soon. My most admirable quality is that I am already adept at pottying outside which means I’m house trained! Lady A stands for Lady Adaptable because I’m learning new things every day, and I can’t wait to come home with you to keep learning what it means to be a part of a family.

Pleased to meet you pyr people! I’m Peter, and I’m paw-sitively pumped to go to my pyr-fect home! I’m a young male pyr, so I’m still learning how to walk on the leash. When I see other dogs on our walks, I get so excited and pull. Because I look to my humans for direction, though, I know I’ll be prancing perfectly in no time! Everyone’s prepping for summer, so if we need to run some errands, you can take me along. I am learning how to ride in a car too, but I can get a little carsick and have to lifted into the car. One skill I’ve pretty much mastered, however, is going potty outside. In other words, I’m house-trained! Summertime fun is something I already know really well too! I am perky pup with lots of puppy energy, so I am ready for zoomies in backyard with my foster doggy sibling any time. I’m really personable with kids too because of my very sweet and affectionate personality. Plus, kids love to give hugs and cuddles, and I’m all for it! Belly-rubs and ear-rubs are a pleasant way to spend a summer afternoon too. While I am my plucky self around my foster family, I do take a little time to warm up to new people, and I can get a little head-shy. I have a curious and loving nature, though, so I warm up quickly. While I’ve been told I have a pearly-white smile, I do need to gain some weight. Good thing I like liver treats! Chewing on things in general is fun, but I am learning to only chew on my toys. I know the word “no,” so I just need some practice. When my foster family leaves me home alone, though, I do really well in the crate. For me, puppy paradise is being with the people I love. Won’t you take me home and make this peace-loving pyr a part of your family?

Hi, Everybody! I’m Joe Cruz! This Joe goes with the flow. I’m such a sweet boy. I’m good with kids, people, and other dogs. At the dog park, I like to sniff the other dogs and be friendly. As Foster Mama says, I don’t have a mean bone in my body! When I’m at home, I love to play with my doggy sibling. All I really want to do, though, is be where you are. While you’re having your morning cup of joe, I’ll sit by you for some pets and snuggles. Foster Mom also says I’m very calm. My gentle demeanor means I am great with kids! My young foster human sibling is brushing me in one of the pictures, and I just let her get on with it. Being groomed is something I tolerate very well. Another thing I like to do is chew, so I’ll need some sturdy chew toys! On the leash, I’m a little like a joey, a baby kangaroo, learning how to walk because I weave and pull. Foster Mama tells me I’m a fast learner, though, so I’ll be cruzing, I mean cruising, smoothly down the sidewalk in no time! Also, car rides and stairs are not my vibe, but I’m working on it. One thing I can’t learn to love is the crate. I think it’s because I love my people so much that I want to be able to guard the family home while they’re out. As every Joe Schmoe knows, pyrs like to protect their home! The good news is I’m basically housetrained! Here’s the deal: I’m no average Joe. I’m Joe Cruz, and I’m a very special and soft-hearted pyr who can’t wait to go home with you!

Howdy, y’all! I’m Big Saint, a new arrival to GPRA! My transporters actually think my name fits me well. I’m tall and saintly. While I may not be a saint per se, I am calm and loving. I like to be petted all over. I ride well in the car because I mostly just sleep in it. If the window is open, though, I do like to sniff the air. I will need a little help with training because I’m new to leash walking. I don’t really pull on the leash, so I just need help knowing to stay by your side and which direction we’re going. I’m also a curious boy that perks up at strange sounds and scents. I love treats too, but, really, who doesn’t? I am truly a gentle giant looking for my forever home. I’m hoping that could be yours! Please come to meet me after filling out an application at greatpyratlanta.com.

Hello, Sweetheart! That’s my name; don’t wear it out! My GPRA friends tell me I’m a sweet young lady who will add more than a spoonful of sugar to your life. Even though I’m a little timid at first, I’ll stick to you like honey as soon as I get to know you. My GPRA transporter said I like to give lots of nuzzles! In fact, I’ve been told I am an excellent car rider too. When we’re done traveling, we can snuggle up on the couch together. After all, getting pets is one of my favorite activities. If you love an affectionate pyr, then I’m the pyr girl after your own heart!

Hi-ya! I’m Bonnie Lynn, and it’s good to meet you! Did you know that bon means good in French? Foster Mama says that describes me perfectly because I’m good at so many things! I’m good with other dogs. They’re fun to be around and play with, and I like to learn from my foster doggy sibling too. Also, I’m good with new people. When I meet new humans, I’m happy and count them as my friends. Foster Ma says I’m good in the car too; it’s a nice place to take a nap! While I have the good-est nature in the world, there are a few doggy duties I’m still learning like how to walk a leash. The leash is new to me, so I do pull; however, Foster Mom thinks with time, love, and patience, I’ll learn how to walk on the leash soon enough. Sometimes, I jump up on my new friends out of excitement, but I’m learning not to do that too. One area where I excel is backyard time! The backyard is a really good place to be. My foster family thinks I’ll definitely need a backyard for playtime and zoomies! I’m doing a good job of pottying outside in the backyard as well. Bonnie also means beautiful and cheerful, and my foster mom would agree. She describes me as joyful and sweet. Being home with my foster family, both human and fuzzy, just makes me so happy. Check out all my smiley pics! I show my Foster Mom how much I love her by following her around the house to say, “Cuddle me, please!” I’m a young pyr lady looking for the pyr-fect home for me where I’ll be given lots of love and time to learn.

Hello, Dolly! That’s me, and I’m so happy to meet you. Do you know what makes me a doll? I’m housetrained! Hanging around in my dollhouse, I mean home, is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon because I love attention. Foster Mom says I am very loving and always looking to be cuddled by my family. I also love to get dolled up and take a stroll around the neighborhood because meeting new people is my favorite thing to do. Ear scratches and head rubs are the way to this doll’s heart!  Foster Mama says I’m great on the leash too, so I’ll never drag you around like a rag doll. While I haven’t had any other dogs over for a playdate yet, Foster Ma thinks I’ll get along great with them because I have such a gentle nature. As the expression goes, I’m a living doll which means I’m a super sweet pyr ready to come home with you!

Greetings, y’all! I’m Tulia, and it’s terrific to make your acquaintance! The most darn tootin’ wonderful thing about me is that I walk tastefully on a leash. My steady stride is timeless, and I’m not even fearful of those terribly loud boxes y’all call vehicles. Speaking of automobiles, I’m thrilled to take a car ride anytime! The quality you’ll be most thankful for is that I’m good with cats, kids, and new people. I’m just a thoughtful pyr who wants to be everyone’s friend. A testament to my temperate nature is how well I listen to my humans. I know sit, off, and down. I’m a thoroughly lovely houseguest too. When I have to tinkle, I whine by the door to say, “Time to use the lady’s room!” While I like to keep my household tidy, I do sometimes dig under the fence or even try to jump over it, so a 6-foot fence is a must for me. My foster family says my greatest talent, though, is my calm and loving nature. I’m a teachable, talented young pyr lady who can’t wait to come home with you!
