Kenny
Hello. I am the unforgettable Kenny because I am the sweetest and gentlest Pyr boy you will ever meet. I came to GPRA via a shelter.
Thankfully, GPRA is getting me long overdue vet, medical and grooming care. Regarding medical care, I will be undergoing bi-lateral ACL surgeries (officially known as Tplo surgery) under GPRA’s medical experts’ excellent supervision. I am one lucky boy to have landed with GPRA to get these life-changing surgeries because I have been in pain for a very long time. Maybe this is why I ended up in a shelter.
This means that I need the most fabulous foster or adopter to support me throughout the recovery process. My activity level will be entirely restricted. A room with a nonslip floor (carpet remnants are perfect) and gentle assistance getting outside for potty breaks will be all I need for several weeks. Have faith; after my surgeries, I will be ready to enjoy life to its fullest again with many good years ahead.
Guess what? I also got the magic grooming transformation, which means someone spent several hours brushing and bathing me to get rid of the endless amounts of dirt and mats. I cannot even recognize myself. Even better, my skin and coat feel so good now.
Even though my life has not been the happiest, I am a very docile and loving boy and will be a loyal companion to some lucky human out there. If you are my lucky human who will support me on a journey of healing and health, I promise to be your devoted guardian.
Your Pyrly loyal, Kenny

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
