Millie Joy
Millie Joy here, and I really love my name, do you? I am back with Rescue because I have some learning to do but so does everyone, right? You see, I am still a little possessive of my food bowl and territorial with my house.
Many Great Pyrenees have similar learning hurdles, and there are countless success stories out there. Just ask GPRA. I do my best to protect the things that I treasure, but I need to be less enthusiastic about this job. In the beginning, my forever home should not have other cats or dogs. What else can I share…well, a fenced-in backyard is also recommended for exercise until I learn better leash manners.
Oh, I almost forgot to share with you that I am very affectionate, loving, and gentle with children and really miss daily hugs and treats and being part of a family. Yes, I have some learning to do, and consistency and patience will help me. GPRA tells me that my family is out there.
Still waiting for my forever and another chance at a happily ever after…Mille Joy

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
