Bet you’re expecting a poem, huh, based on my name? Well, fortunately there’s no “i” in the word so this 3-year-old, 85 lb. guy doesn’t have to count syllables. However, I do need to find a new home. My parents are moving, and no dogs allowed on international flights. GPRA saved me and all my siblings. I’m also an outdoor dog who wasn’t house or crate trained. My parents say I’m a sweet dog and good with older kids who respect me and my space. I need to be leashed if the gate’s open or it’s adventure time. I’ll bark at cats, strangers coming into my yard, and people touching my food. It’s true, we alpha males tend to mind our own business, protect our property and people, and want to be the center of attention. It’s also true an alpha human outranks an alpha dog. My parents say I’m smart and learn commands well which means if you’re a strong, dog-savvy person, we might have something here. One last secret about me, I get nervous easily. Baths and thunderstorms scare me. Admitting that doesn’t do much for my leader of the pack reputation so I keep it to myself. You know a lot about me, I hope you’ll  please email info@greatpyratlanta.com, click “Contact Us” or choose “Apply to Adopt” below. I didn’t know my parents would move and all dogs want a home.

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
