Wesson
Y’all, I’m here and ready to be wherever you are instead! I’m a three-year-old, 93 lb. boy who left the only home he’s known. Please trust me, my owner’s reasons were very real, and also private, so rather than judging, let’s talk about finding my new family. I’m very playful and good with adults, kids, and small dogs. Basically, I just love people. Can’t say the same for thunderstorms or gun shots since both send me into hiding. Supposedly I chase cats and the only big dog I know doesn’t seem to be a fan, don’t know if it’s my fault or his. I’ve been known to share a low growl if another dog approaches my food but that’s all, just a polite warning it belongs to me. Oh, and since I’m an outdoor dog, I’ll need help and patience (and treats!!) to learn indoor manners. My story might not be so unique for a GPRA rescue but I probably need a special, Pyr-smart owner so I make the best transition possible. If this sounds like you, or maybe a friend of yours, please email info@greatpyratlanta.com, click “Contact Us” or choose “Apply to Adopt” below.
Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
