Thank you, Facebook, temporary mom, and GPRA! I’m 2-years old and about 50 lbs. And I am so grateful to my current mom for saving me from my old life. Without knowing anything about me, she just got me out of a bad place, even though she knew she couldn’t keep me. After living in a loving home for a while I learned all about my good qualities. For instance, I’m a very sweet, mellow dog who is fully housetrained and can be left home alone for up to eight hours. I know “sit” and “down”, both of which come in handy if you catch me counter surfing. I bet I can be trained to wait for those tasty morsels since I don’t resist when my mom takes things away from me. Do you want to be my teacher and new person? Or maybe a whole new family? Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
