Lexi M
I know four words in sign language, want to teach me more? I’m Lexi, a 2-year-old, 84 lb. indoor girl who will “sit”, “stay”, “come”, and “place” on command—when you show me the right signals. Yep, I may turn my head when I hear a few LOUD sounds but I am deaf. All that means is you will have to be where I can see you so I know what you are asking me to do. It also means I may be a little skittish with new places and people because I can’t hear. And, it means that you’ll need to be careful coming from behind me because you might startle me. The good news is, I’m house trained, love walks, can be home alone, and will find all the air conditioning vents in the house. Oh, speaking of home, GPRA’s helping me find a new one because my current family has to move to a place, well, let’s just think about the good stuff ahead. Also, my name means “to defend” so if you’re looking for a protector to guard you against those large inflatable things in back yards (I do NOT like those things!) or announce strangers, I’m your girl. Just remember if I accidentally get loose, I won’t hear you calling me. But, you can call GPRA, or better yet, email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below and we can get this party (without inflatables) started!
Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
