I’m Bailey, a  6-year-old, 78 lb girl whose mom is devastated her life is changing and she has to kiss me goodbye. Please don’t judge her for asking GPRA to help me find you, it’s really hard for her and the best thing for me. I also want to tell you years 1-4, in my first home, had more crate time than any dog deserves and while the last year’s been so much better with mom, I’m still learning how to play and have fun. I love being outside on long walks or enjoying the yard, but I’m also house trained and quite content having the place to myself for several hours. I’m trustworthy with kids, chase cats for fun—probably more fun for me than the cats—and do not care for small dogs. Despite moving around a bit, I’m loyal and alert, always protecting my family, even if it seems like I’m staring at nothing or ignoring you. Oh, and most important, I’ll do anything—even if it’s a little mischievous—for a peanut butter sandwich. So, if you want to have a whole bunch of lunches together, please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below.

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
