Hi, I’m Avett, a “Pyredoodle” girl! I am still a big silly pup at 11 months old and 76 lbs. I have lots of energy and my former family was just not ready for my spunky personality. I am very smart and love people, especially the ones that are about my size. They know how to play! I spent some time at that place they call “training” so I know some commands like sit, drop it, no, and off. I still need a little work with leash walking. I do great with other dogs, the more the merrier and I love dog fun. Those meower things don’t bother me a bit. I like them even better if they want to play. My foster family takes me for walks and I get to meet lots of new people. I heard them say “I’ve never met a stranger.” I think that means I’m friendly and happy. Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
