Zephyr
Looking for a Velcro dog? Well, here I am, Zephyr a 9.5-year-old, 85 lb., super sweet laid-back guy who loves people. My foster family leaves me alone to do something called “work” and even though there aren’t any anxiety issues, and I’m fine being with the other dogs unsupervised, I’d much rather be around my people as much as possible. Also, according to my foster mom, I’m a perfect dog because I don’t whine, drool, snarl, beg, or steal food. I love walks and short car rides; long ones upset my tummy. I am scared of thunder, but I just need someone to comfort me. Oh, and if we’re walking someplace really dark and uneven, a flashlight in your hand helps me feel safer. Pyrs are known to bark but so far, I haven’t had much to say at my foster house. In fact, I’m not digging, trying to jump the fence, or having any trouble with stairs. Life’s pretty good but it’ll be so much better with my own fur-ever family. Since I’m a slightly older guy, I spend most of my time napping or looking for someone to pet me. Want to try cuddling and brushing me (something else I love)? If so, please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below and maybe we can schedule a practice ear rubbing session.
Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
