I’m Patches, a 1.5 year old, 85 lb. girl ready to learn! My family adopted me at eight weeks. I love them, but I’m older and bigger now which means the side affects of not training me as a puppy are bigger, too. So, GPRA agreed to help me find a Pyrfect home with dog-smart humans. Right now I spend a lot of time alone outside. It’s boring so I dig holes. Being inside is unusual so I pace and don’t know what to do with myself there either. Sometimes the kids play with me, which I love, because they’re young like me and we run around together. My mom says I’m smart and know some basic commands; spoiler alert, I still need a little more house training. My heart tells me I’ll be a great dog if the family is strong enough to teach me good manners even when I’m so adorable they just can’t stand it. Kinda seems like my eight-week old puppy-self is still telling my body what to do, huh? We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
