I am Kit, a 2.5 year old, 63 lb. farm girl who is thrilled to finally be living in the big city, even though I still need my own family. Here is my pro/con list for why I’d be a great family dog. Pros: I crave attention and give Pyrfect kisses; I am happy on a leash because city noises do not scare me any more; I will do an adorable “downward dog” yoga pose during our walks; I will protect you from squirrels; I am good with dogs, cats, and people; and I will always let you go through a new doorway first. Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
