Hi y’all, I am a super handsome boy named Apollo. I am still a pup at about 1.5 yrs old and 67 lbs. It took me a while to find me way to GPRA, but a kind woman knew I was being surrendered to a shelter and immediately scooped me up to foster until GPRA had room to bring me in. At my foster home, I am learning what it is like being in a loving home. I have learned that I like comfy beds and I am willing to share them. I am a little shy at first and just getting to meet lots of new friends….human and furry. I have met some dogs that I really liked and a couple of those “meowers”. They didn’t really want to play with me, but I think they looked like fun. I really like it when my people are around a lot. Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
