My Story

Hi, I’m Casper August, and if you’re looking for a fluffy best friend who wants to be right by your side, I may be your guy! 🐾💙

I came to GPRA with my four pups, the August Litter, and now that my dad duties are behind me, I’m ready to find a special place of my own. I’m currently in boarding, but I would really love a foster or forever home where I can soak up all the love and attention I’ve been missing.

The walking team has gotten to know me pretty well, and they say I’m an absolute sweetheart. I’m easy and relaxed on the leash with no pulling, so taking a stroll with me is a breeze. After our walks, though, I have one very important item on my agenda—cuddle time!

I’m what you might call a Velcro Pyr. ❤️ I love my people and will happily follow you around the yard just so I can be close to you. If you sit down, there’s a pretty good chance I’ll be nearby asking for some love—and I may even give you my Pyr paw to make sure you don’t forget about me!

I’m also very easy to brush, which is a good thing when you’re as handsome and fluffy as I am. 😊

Right now, I’m waiting in boarding and dreaming about what it would be like to have a home and a person to call my own. If you have room in your heart and home for a sweet, affectionate, people-loving Pyr, come meet me.

I’m Casper August, and I’m ready to be somebody’s very best shadow. 🐾

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
