My Story

Hi, I’m Piedmont! 🐾

I’m a sweet, gentle boy currently spending my days in boarding, but what I’d really love is a foster or forever home where I can settle in and be part of a family.

The wonderful people who take me out for walks have some pretty nice things to say about me. In fact, one of my walkers said it didn’t feel like she was walking me or that I was walking her—we were simply walking together. I stayed right beside her and matched whatever pace she chose. I’ve been told I’m an absolute dream on a leash! ❤️

And apparently I’m pretty good at ignoring distractions, too. We’ve encountered plenty of deer on our trail walks, and I didn’t react or even pay them much attention. I was perfectly content strolling alongside my person and enjoying our time together.

I’m also a fan of treats, have a beautiful curly tail, and, according to my walking friends, I’m one very sweet and handsome boy. 😊

There are a couple of things I need in my new home. I need another dog to share my life with and would do best with someone who is home more often than not. Having that companionship will help me feel comfortable and secure as I adjust to life outside of boarding.

I’m ready to trade my kennel for a home, my trail walks for walks with my very own person, and my boarding buddies for a family to love.

Could you be the one who gives me that chance?

Love,
Piedmont 🐾

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
