My Story

Hello! I’m Stacey Star, and if you ask me, the best place in the world is right beside my favorite person.

I’m a little more reserved than my sisters at first, but once I know you, I’m incredibly affectionate and loyal. My foster family says I always want to be by their side, and honestly…I think they’re pretty wonderful.

I’m happy lounging for much of the day, but I also enjoy playing with my sisters and the other dogs in my foster home. While toys aren’t really my thing, I never say no to spending time with my people or joining everyone for a stroll around the yard.

I’m still learning all about leash walking and basic commands, but every day I’m becoming more comfortable and confident. I ride quietly in the car, keep my kennel nice and clean, and I’m gentle when being handled. Baths, brushing, belly rubs—I take it all in stride.

Like my sisters, I enjoy cooling off in the kiddie pool, respect fences, and get along wonderfully with other dogs. I simply have a softer, quieter personality that shines brightest once I feel safe and loved.

If you’ve been hoping for a gentle shadow who will happily keep you company wherever you go, I’d love the chance to become your best friend forever. ❤️

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
