My Story

Hi there! My name is Sir Reginald. I’m a friendly, playful guy with a big personality, and I’m currently looking for a foster or forever home where I can keep learning and growing.

The first thing you should know about me is that I love people. When I meet someone new, I’m so excited that I might jump up to say hello—what can I say? I just think everyone is a potential best friend! I’m especially sweet with kids, though I sometimes get a little too enthusiastic and end up right in their face trying to give kisses.

I have a medium energy level, which means I enjoy playtime and activity, but I can also relax during the day. In fact, I’m usually pretty calm from morning until evening. When nighttime rolls around, though, I tend to get a little more active—so having some toys, playtime, or a good walk would really help me wind down.

Speaking of walks… I’m still working on my leash manners. If I see another dog, I can get pretty excited and pull to go check them out. With a little patience and training, I know I can learn to be a perfect gentleman on the leash. After all, a dog named Sir Reginald should have good manners!

I’m crate trained and will happily sleep either in my crate or on the floor nearby. When my people leave the house, I stay in my crate and do well for about 3–4 hours. I’ve been really good about not having accidents in the house, though I’m still learning how to tell my humans when I need to go outside.

Now, I’ll be honest with you—I still have a bit of a puppy side. If you leave things like shoes, pillows, or rugs lying around, I might think they’re fun chew toys. I’m not trying to be naughty—I just need some guidance and the right things to chew on. With a little structure, I know I can grow into a well-mannered gentleman.

I’m also a big fan of car rides, so if you’re looking for a co-pilot for errands or adventures, I’m your guy.

Sometimes sudden movements can make me a little nervous, but overall I’m a very sweet, affectionate dog who just wants to be part of a family. With some patience, training, and love, I’ll make an incredibly loyal companion.

If you’re looking for a playful, friendly dog with a big heart and lots of potential, I’d love the chance to meet you. Whether it’s a foster home or a forever home, I’m ready to start my next chapter.

Will you be the one to give Sir Reginald his royal second chance? 🐾👑

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
