My Story

I’m Mary Poppins — practically perfect in the sweetest little ways. ☂️

I may not arrive carried in by the east wind, but I promise I’ll bring a gentle, comforting presence into your home.

Right now, I’m staying in boarding while I wait for a foster or forever family to choose me. Kennels aren’t quite my style — I’m much more of a cozy home kind of girl — but I’m handling it with quiet grace.

I’m sweet and gentle at heart. I do take a few days to warm up in a new place — I like to make sure everything feels safe and proper before I fully relax. But once I know I’m secure, my soft, loving nature shines through.

I’m friendly with strangers, and I’m very polite with clinic staff — quiet, calm, and well-mannered. I don’t bark, and I don’t cause a fuss. I prefer peaceful company and kind voices.

When I walk by other dogs, I don’t pay much attention. If I do notice them, I’m more inquisitive than anything — I might stare a bit, but I do well with other dogs. I haven’t met any cats yet, so that’s still a mystery.

I walk nicely on leash — I don’t try to lead the parade; I’m happy to stroll along beside you. Loud traffic and sudden noises can make me jumpy, so I’d do best in a calmer environment where I can feel safe and supported.

I eat well, I’m not protective of my food, and I’m easy to give medication to (pill pockets? Simply delightful!).

Bath time and grooming? I’m wonderful for both. A proper lady must keep up appearances, after all.

If you’re looking for a quiet, gentle companion with a tender heart, I’m right here waiting. I don’t need grand adventures — just a soft place to land, a little patience while I warm up, and someone who will see how special I truly am.

I’m ready to float right into your life and stay. 💕

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
