My Story

Hi! My name is Aspen, and I’m a friendly, easygoing guy with a big heart and the sweetest, most relaxed personality. I love meeting new people and dogs — big or small — and I take life at my own calm, happy pace. I’m not the type who needs to be on the go all the time… honestly, I’m more of a potato than a runner and proud of it. Chill is my specialty.

I may look like an adventurous explorer, but my favorite activities are lounging, observing the world, and keeping you company. I’m gentle in everything I do, especially when I want affection. I’ll quietly stand beside you or give a soft little paw tap to politely request pets. My signature move? A goofy head tilt and soulful eyes that people say are impossible to resist. I just call it charm.

Treats are one of my favorite things! I’m more of a grazer than a gobbler and have very nice manners around food. I might occasionally remind my sister that my bowl is mine, but I’m respectful with people and take guidance well.

I’m house-trained, use a doggy door, and enjoy spending time outside relaxing and watching the world go by. Loud noises don’t bother me, and I’m wonderfully tolerant when it comes to handling — paws, ears, belly rubs, baths… all fine by me.

I love people, enjoy canine friends, and have a naturally kind, mellow way about me. I’m affectionate, a little goofy, and happiest just being near my humans. One thing to know: if I can see my person on the other side of the fence, I really want to be with them and might try to get closer. With supervision and a secure setup, I’m perfectly content soaking up the day.

If you’re looking for a laid-back, loving companion who brings calm, comfort, and quiet joy, I think we’d make the perfect match. I’m ready to be your couch buddy, yard supervisor, and loyal best friend. 🐾💙

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
