My Story

Hey there, I’m Lance, and while I’m trying to make the best of things here in boarding, I’d really rather be hanging out in a home — maybe yours! I came from the shelter, and everyone says I’ve been a total gentleman since arriving. I’m calm, friendly, and love getting attention from people (ear scratches are my favorite).

I walk well on leash — okay, I get excited and pull a little, but I’m learning! I’m also housebroken, eat well, and I’m not fussy about anything. I’ve been polite with other dogs, curious but not pushy, and I don’t seem bothered by loud noises or cars. The clinic staff says I’m a “good boy” who’s easy to handle for just about anything — I’ll take that compliment!

I can be a little chatty sometimes, but that’s just me saying, “Hey, I’m here! Let’s hang out!” All I really want is someone to love and a comfy spot to rest my head.

If you’re looking for a friendly, loyal Pyr who’s ready to make your house feel like home, I think we’d make a great match.

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
