My Story

Hi, I’m Toby, and if there’s one thing to know about me, it’s that I’m all about fun, friends, and freedom! I’m a happy, goofy, energetic guy who loves to run, play, and bounce my way through life (literally — sometimes all four feet leave the ground when I’m excited!).

I absolutely love other dogs and have the best time running around the yard with my foster siblings. I’m a respectful runner — I like to be chased, but I always play fair. I’m still learning that not everyone can keep up with my long, easy strides!

When it’s time to settle down, I enjoy grazing on my meals and my favorite treats — pizzles, cow ears, and a little wet food. I’m polite with my food and toys and don’t mind sharing. I walk well on leash, make great eye contact, and stay calm even when there’s a lot going on around me.

I love people (all people!) and have a big heart that just wants to connect. Brushing and baths are fine by me — as long as we keep it short so I don’t get bored. I’m respectful of fences, not afraid of loud noises, and I even hop into the car all by myself (though I might try to sneak into the front seat for extra attention!).

My foster family says I’m pure joy to have around — playful, happy, and just a little bit goofy. Watching me run or bounce around is guaranteed to make you smile.

I’m still waiting for my forever home, and I can’t wait to find someone who loves my big energy and even bigger heart. Could that be you?

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
